BANGALORE: Spiritual leader and the Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will carry a message of peace during his visit to the Wagah border on November 12.

Sri Sri, who is on a five-day tour to Punjab starting on Tuesday, is expected to promote the concept of 'One World Family' during his visit to the Wagah Border, a release from the city-based AOL foundation said.

"His visit to the Wagah border will underline his mission of bringing peace and harmony to the world," said Sejal Thakkar, International Faculty of the Art of Living.

Sri Sri will address people over a series of satsangs and public interactions in Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Amritsar and Jalandhar during his tour.

Carrying the same message of human bonding to Amritsar, Sri Sri will inaugurate 'Saanjh', a musical concert based on Indo-Pak peace mission where artists from both countries will showcase their talents on a shared platform.

Another highlight will be on November 11 when Ludhiana will witness the largest performance of Punjabi folk dance - the Bhangra - with 2,100 dancers in the presence of Sri Sri.

Titled 'Mehran De Rang', the event organized by the Art of Living, will be considered for the Guinness World Book of Records for 'an unprecedented' number of Bhangra dancers performing together on one stage, he said.

Sri Sri will also address educationists at Ludhiana. This will be followed by the inauguration of Art of Living's meditation centre that is a replica of the Vishalakshi Mantap (meditation hall) at the Art of living's Bangalore headquarters, on November 11.

Sri Sri's five-day tour of Punjab will culminate with prayers at the Golden temple and the Durgiana temple in Amritsar on November 13, the foundation said.
